Restarting the inverter

Use this guide if you need to correctly shutdown and restart your Solaredge inverter.

Shutdown

Step 1.

Turn the little red switch to the "O" position

It is critical this step is always done first, switching any other switches first could damage the inverter.

Step 2.

Turn the DC Disconnect switch to OFF

Step 3.

Turn the AC Isolator or Circuit Breaker (in switchboard) switch to the OFF position

You may have no AC isolator located next to the inverter, if so, look for a circuit breaker in the switchboard labelled "Inverter Supply" or similar and switch this breaker off.

Step 4

Wait for the screen to turn off completely and wait 60 seconds

The inverter is now turned off

To start the inverter do the same procedure in reverse - it is important to do this in reverse as the instructions with the red switch going to "I" as the very last step.
