Before starting make sure the red switch underneath your inverter is in the 0 position. Once the Wifi is connected, flick the switch back to the I position to start the inverter.
1. First, using your smart phone or the tablet, download the mysolaredge app. The app can be found on Apple and Android.
2. Ensure you have working internet at home (either ADSL or NBN).
3. Note down your home network's name (also known as the SSID) and the password.
4. Open the mysolaredge app on your phone or tablet.
5. The app will ask you to login into the app. If you already have an account with solaredge, use those credentials. If you are a first time user, use the signup option to create a username and password.
6. Once logged in, tap on the '3lines' on the top left corner.
7. Tap on 'Inverter Communication' from the list.
8. This will open up the camera and you will need to scan the QR code on the right side of the inverter.
9. Once done, go the left side of the inverter and toggle the red switch to the 'P' position to turn on the inverter wifi. After that, press continue on your device.
10. The app will show a pop-up. Tap on 'Join' to connect to the inverter WiFi. This may take a few minutes.
11. After few minutes, you will see an option to 'Configure' at the bottom of your device screen. Tap on it to connect to your house WiFi.
12. A new page with the list of WiFi will pop-up. Please select your home WiFi from the list and enter the password.
13. Once connected, tap on 'Back to dashboard' to go to the homepage of the app. The homepage will show all the data about your Solaredge system. As the system just connected to the internet, it will take sometime for data and numbers to show up.
14. Moreover, you can also see a blue light below the green light on the inverter front which means the inverter is connected to the internet.
