Connecting Sungrow Inverter to WiFi

To view you system information such as solar production, home usage and battery levels, you will need to use the iSolarCloud app made by Sungrow. 

The app is available here ANDROID or APPLE

Access to the system will require a iSolarCloud account, to learn how to make an account, Click Here

Before any information can be sent from the inverter to the app, the inverter needs to be connected to your home Wi-Fi network. Before beginning the process, you will need a phone, tablet or PC and your home Wi-Fi network password with you.

Watch this video for a step by step guide on how to connect the inverter to the home Wi-Fi - Please note the video says to connect to "International Server", this is not correct, please connect to "Australian Server"

Alternatively, follow the steps below:

Make sure to be near your inverter (within 5m) before proceeding

Step 1: Connect device WiFi.

Firstly, go to your smartphone or tablet and open up the Settings. 

Locate the WIFI SETTINGS  options. 

Once located, select the inverter WiFi network named “SG-******”. 

If a password is required you will find the password on the side of the WiFi stick, or for older models it will be on the side of the inverter.

 

Step 2: Login and configure.

After your smartphone or tablet has successfully connected to the inverter WFi network, open the Sungrow iSolarCloud APP.

Login to your iSolarCloud account. OR click the gear icon in the top right and click WLAN Configuration

Once logged in, select the MORE  tab in the bottom left-hand corner of the page. 

Then select the WLAN CONFIGURATION  tab. 

Information will pop up notifying you’ve successfully connected to the inverter, select NEXT.

 

Step 3: Network setup.

The next step is to connect your inverter to your home WLAN network, select your WIFI NETWORK  from the list and enter your password. 

The symbol “” indicates a successful connection, click NEXT. 

Information indicating a successful connection to the home network will pop up. Your inverter is reconnected.
