Use this guide to reset a SkyBox
A SkyBox is made up of multiple components, when issues arise, the first point of action should be a system reset. We find this fixes over 80% of issues. If the issue you are having persists, then it is time to look further into what is happening. This guide will instruct you in the process of resetting a SkyBox.
Most SkyBox installation will be made up of 3 major "Inputs"
1. Solar Panels
2. Batteries
3. Generator
Once we cut power from all these sources, the SkyBox will turn off and we have performed a reset.
1. Switch off the Solar Panels
The solar panels are plugged into the DC PV Isolators, these are usually found on the left side of the SkyBox, some models might have them installed externally. They will look like this.
OR
Switch all isolators to the OFF position.
2. Switch off all AC power
AC power is the power either coming from a generator or going to your home. The easiest way to do this is to switch all circuit breakers in the switchboard to OFF position, this is usually DOWN
3. Switch off Battery Power
All battery power runs through the "BATTERY DC ISOLATOR", turn this circuit breaker to the OFF position, which is down.
The batteries can be turned off individually, although this isn't always necessary unless there is a fault. To reset individual batteries, you must use the correct guide below.
